What’s a podcast?
A podcast is generally a multimedia digital file that you can subscribe to and receive on most mobile devices (iPods, smart phones – Apple, Android, Windows, Blackberry, and tablets) as well as your computer. Podcasts can be streamed if you have online access, or they can be downloaded to your device for later listening.
How do I subscribe to a podcast?
There are multiple ways you can subscribe to a podcast. Your mobile device will have an app that will allow you to subscribe to the “feed”. The feed is the RSS feed that you’ll be able to find on this website or through your prefered app.
iOS: Most commonly, on iOs, there is a native Podcasting App available in the app store. It’s not the only one, but it’s a great place to start.
Other popular iOs apps include: Instacast, Downcast, Pocket Cast, Castro, iCatcher, Pod Wrangler, SoundCloud and Stitcher
Android: There is not a “native” podcasting app for Android devices at the time of this writing. There are several apps available.
Other popular Android podcatching apps include Pocket Casts, Stitcher, Dog Catcher, PlayerFM, My Pod, Beyond Pod.
There are other networks that also have their own apps where you can listen online or via their app on your device. These include iTunes, Stitcher and SoundCloud just to name a few. There are more coming online all the time.
Coming Soon: SAGEClinician will have it’s own app, so stay tuned.
Listen online: If you want regular updates, be sure and subscribe to this site. We’ll send you a short email to let you know when a new episode has been published. When you are on the website, you’ll also get access to the show notes and any resources that have been mentioned by our guest.
