Mimi Secor, MS, M.Ed, FNP-BC, NCMP, FAANP, is a nurse practitioner, national speaker and consultant.
She has worked for 36 years as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in women’s health and is currently working at Newton Wellesley ObGyn in Newton, Massachusetts. She is a visiting scholar at Boston College Graduate School of Nursing and guest lecturer at the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions.
Mimi has published extensively, including her 2010 co-authored textbook, Advanced Health Assessment of Women; Skills and Procedures, and her newly released 2012 co-authored textbook, Fast Facts About the Gynecologic Exam for Nurse Practitioners: Conducting the GYN Exam in a Nutshell.
She has years of media experience including radio host on ReachMD and she has also been a guest on Good Morning America, interviewed by the Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe and many others. Mimi has received several awards, including the 2011 Inspiration in Women’s Health Award- Honorable Mention, from the Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health, and most recently, the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners (MCNP).
